I'd come across the meme before—take a show with a predominantly white cast and recast it with people of color who have a similar acting style. Reading people's posts was both happy-making and sad-making at the same time. I loved the ideas, just like I loved the genderswap recasting memes, but it also made me more-than-usually irked by how monochromatic television really is. Then, the other day, I came across this masterlist of people's posts, and realized that two of my favorite shows hadn't been done yet. So I'm going to reignite the meme, if for no one but myself, because I still find it fascinating.
